The 9.12 Project of New York Takes Education Head On

There is an amazing change happening all across America.  We are learning our real history.   I remember watching The Glenn Beck Program as he stumbled across a thing called “TJed.”  That is the short version of A Thomas Jefferson Education.  This type of education is becoming popular, even if it is not called by that name.  Some call in Student Directed Learning, others Agency Based Education, others Classical Education.

This type of education takes you away from rote work and gives history and literature life.  TJed is getting back to the classics.  It’s experiencing mentors, and real thinking begins to take place no matter how old or young you may be.

I saw a young lady mention this education on The Glenn Beck program a while back.  I could not remember her name, but I remembered she was from New York and was heading up the 9.12 movement in that state.

I have been using TJed in my own personal life, as well as in the lives of my children for the past ten years.  I love learning, and I love the idea of TJed.  I continue to educate myself on a regular basis, so I signed up for a course at a college over the summer, that would enhance and rejuvenate myself about that learning process.  This college is in Monticello, Utah, and is rightly named Monticello College.

If you have read my blog over the years, you know I love history, especially the cycles of history, and most importantly, how they affect us today.  This retreat was going to be a camping retreat all about the cycles of history, so I said to my husband, “We’re going.”  He was thrilled, because I’m not really much of a camper and he loves it, and he’s not into the education side as much as I am, so this was a complete win / win.

While I was on this summer retreat, I ran into two 9.12ers from New York, who flew all the way to Utah to go camping and learning in the mountains of Monticello.  And sure enough, the girl on Glenn

Cleve Smith, Jacqueline Smith, Megan Daniel, Eli Schultz, Jeremy Near (Utah and New York 9.12ers)

Beck, Eli Schultz, was one of them.

Many people in the 9.12 movement have made this movement just about politics, and that is a sad mistake.  This movement goes deep into the heart of why our country is in this situation in the first place.  We are here, because we have allowed ourselves to get here.  We have been too obsessed with attainment, and/or entertainment.  We have allowed ourselves to become “the stupid people” that need to be governed, rather than governing ourselves.  Many 9.12 movements (including mine) have weighed-in heavily in the political environment, and while I don’t think that is going to go away, I am seeing a shift into the education side of the movement.  It will not be enough to just read a few popular books, or even a few old ones.  It is time to dig deep.  It is time to become a new American founder.  After all, what comes after a Fourth Turning?  A founding.  We must change our thinking.

I will be spending the next 12 days in New York travelling with Dr. Shanon Brooks, and his daughter around the New York area.  The first two days will be spent on some intense training called The Foundations of Liberty series.  These classes require a deep commitment to education, and while the readings are tough, the results are spectacular.

After these two classes we will be making a tour here in the New York area called RVA or Re-Value America.  We will also have a special Cycles of History class available for those that ready for a more in-depth study into the broader perspective of the events of our day.  We will be studying the Tytler Cycle, the Toffler Cycle, and of course The Fourth Turning also known as the Kondratiev Wave.  I

Until we are an educated electorate that understands not only the nuances of government, but also has a deep understanding of human nature and the principles of liberty, we will remain “ruled over.”

“Hope” and “change” don’t come from the top down, but from the bottom up.  We are the hope and the change that the world is waiting to see.  “Be the change.”

If you see a book in these blog posts, just click on it, and it will take you to our STAR store, and your purchase will help promote liberty.

The National Day of Prayer in Park City, Utah

Today is the National Day of Prayer.  In Park City, Utah, The Christian Center of Park City joined together this morning and took the day seriously.  I, along with a few other STAR Forum members, attended the event.  I wasn’t sure what to expect, and was very impressed.

The morning started out with a wonderful breakfast of doughnuts, muffins, sausage, bacon, quiche, juice, coffee, and more.  I saw many friendly faces from around the community, and met a few new ones.

The event began with a prayer.  We sang a few hymns of praise, and different people from the community spoke.  With each community member concluding, we were asked to specifically prayer for just a couple of minutes at our tables for those specific needs.  Lisa Kirtchenheiter, a Park City school board member, spoke of the difficulties that children are facing.  She asked that we also remember in our prayers the homeschooled children (as she gave me a quick nod), charter-school children, and private-school children.  Then the prayers began.  I was overwhelmed with the spirit of these prayers, thinking of the youth that will grow into our local leaders, our entrepreneurs, our healers, and maybe even leaders of our nation.

Then it came time for the law enforcement to say a few words.  Chief of Police in Park City, Wade Carpenter, and Summit County Sherriff, Dave Edmonds, both had a chance to speak.  They spoke of their commitment to community, and Chief Carpenter spoke of the way Sherriff Edmonds always seeks for guidance in prayer every day before his duty begins.  They spoke of the hardships of serving, how these officers see things that can disturb you for life.  Among other things, they deal with child pornography, abuse victims, drugs, and violence.  They spoke of the divorce rate among police officers, and it is around 75%.  They asked us to prayer for safety of the officers in both body and mind.

I wish I had taken my camera to the event, because Sheriff Edmonds was in his highest uniform, covered with stars on his collar, and stripes on his arms.  Today was an especially emotional day for Sheriff Edmonds.  Today four names were to be added to the memorial of fallen officers in Utah.  And every year on this day, Sheriff Edmonds thinks of Officer Ron Wood, who served in West Jordan and was killed in the line of duty, after being shot.  He was Dave’s friend, and trained with him.  I remember this man, because I lived in West Jordan at the time of his death.  What a small world it is.

We heard from other pastors and teachers here in the area.  The one that struck me, (and I apologize for not remembering his name now,) was the man who quoted from scripture and reminded us to love our enemy, and “pray for those that despitefully use you.”  He reminded us to pray for such organizations as Hamas, and al-Qaeda, and request that their hearts be softened toward us, and not wish to do violence.  Wise words.

The Christian Center left a sheet on each table that listed National Leaders, from Barrack Obama on down to Eric Holder, State Senators, our State Governor, Park City Local Leaders, the principles of the schools, and our Supreme Court Justices.  Sadly, some local leaders that had been invited were unable to attend.  The center distributed a book mark put out by Pray! magazine, that listed 30 ways to pray for people in Authority.

The thought that came to my mind, that is often attributed to Alexis De Toqueville, but is unverifiable, where he is claimed to have said,

“I sought for the greatness and genius of America in her commodious harbors and her ample rivers – and it was not there . . . in her fertile fields and boundless forests and it was not there . . . in her rich mines and her vast world commerce – and it was not there . . . in her democratic Congress and her matchless Constitution – and it was not there. Not until I went into the churches of America and heard her pulpits flame with righteousness did I understand the secret of her genius and power. America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, she will cease to be great.”

The spirit of the morning was beautiful.  There are many good Christians that understand that while many things are in their circle of concern, they seem out of reach of our circle of influence.  However, there is something everyone can do;  Pray.

Today, on the 2011 National Day of Prayer, pray for our nation, its public servants, and it’s people.  We must remember that we are One Nation, but only under God.

Brian Aitken comes to Park City, Utah this Friday, March 25

Gun rights are fundamental to our country’s liberty.  We have the right to protect our property, and ourselves and the second amendment was put in place to keep governments from becoming too oppressive.  Now our Congress is being made irrelevant with the continuing regulations put forward by the likes of Cass Sunstein to regulate our guns.  Brian Aitken experienced first hand, how a government can use laws to put law-abiding citizens behind bars, and more.  I think you should meet him.

Brian Aitken is coming to Park City, Utah on March 25.  He will be at the Prospector at 6:00 p.m. for an event sponsored by members of The STAR Forum.  This event is free and open to the public.  Brian is bringing copies of The Law by Bastiat, and other free goodies from his new employer, The Foundation for Economic Education.

RSVP on Facebook here:    http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/event.php?eid=199811843378383

Or on our meetup site here: http://www.meetup.com/TheSTARForum/events/16569951

Brian Aitken has a unique story from which we all can learn.  After being arrested, he set himself on a path to discover liberty. He found himself at the Foundation for Economic Education started by Hazlitt, a student of Von Mises.  His parental rights were stripped from him.  He was later jailed by a judge who didn’t give all of the information to the jury, and then released by Governor Chris Christie.  Now he fights to have his name cleared.  Brian has been seen on Judge Napolitano’s Freedom Watch, Fox & Friends, and many other news stations.  See our post earlier here.

The events of Brian’s life can benefit all of us if we choose to learn from him.  This could have been you.  Come and learn with us.  Most of the problems we are now facing are economic, including our illegal immigration problem.  It is time to have a strong grasp of the economic system we are currently in, understand the lies behind that system, and learn how an Austrian economic way of thinking helps our country prosper.

Through education, freedom can win!

Mormon Politicians From Utah Feel Tea Party Heat

By KIRK JOHNSON
Published: March 14, 2011

COALVILLE, Utah — Jacqueline Smith fits no one’s stereotype of a political kingmaker. A home-schooling Mormon mother of five, Ms. Smith lives in a modest ranch-style house here in the mountains outside Salt Lake City with her husband, Cleve, a plumbing contractor.

Senator Hatch, shown Wednesday in Washington, is trying to win over Tea Party supporters.

But in the muscular arena of Tea Party and so-called Sept. 12 groups that have surged into dominance in Utah over the last year, places like Coalville and the Smith house have become unlikely stations for politicians to come kiss the ring.

Senator Orrin Hatch is not the Enemy

Orrin Hatch US Senator

Image via Wikipedia

by Scott Simons

On November 12, 2010 at the Wanship Firehouse, Senator Orrin Hatch graciously took questions for nearly 3 hours and spent additional time one on one afterwards, I find this to be extraordinary.  In today’s world of “I don’t have time for anyone”, this was very impressive. Now, we are talking about one of the most powerful men in the world, coming to a very small town, in an atmosphere that may not have been that favorable to him and he also brought his lovely wife of 57 years, I don’t know about you,  but that is what I respect about this man, he will dialog with you under any circumstances.

I first met the Senator at a county delegate meeting in Park City with my lovely wife of 37 years nearly three years ago, again I have found no one as personable and sincere. I can see how he has lasted this long in politics.   I have voted for Senator Hatch in every election except the first one when I was 23 years old and still pretty liberal. The impression he first left with me at that delegate meeting was good and was reaffirmed Friday night.  Don’t get me wrong, I would not say the Senator and I agreed on much of anything.

Names were taken at the door and placed into a hat and pulled out for your turn.  As the evening progressed on, I was ready, and for the past week I had a list of all the ills of our country’s government. Friends and church members all gave me their input, I was fully ready; but as I pondered, I realized that there was only one central issue that needed to be addressed. So, I stood there and waited, hoping my name would be drawn out, question after question and nothing said, I was getting anxious how could the most obvious question slip by and not be asked, and finally Jacqueline Smith breached the subject and Rob Hunt redressed the issue passionately:  The Federal Reserve are the curators and facilitators of all evils and had to be eliminated. The whole central bank issue is more than arguably unconstitutional and nearly all of our personal income taxes are going to pay the interest of this giant power mogul. The senator was not very clear on his reason for supporting the Reserve but ended up saying it was complicated; indeed, and guess what, the American people have figured it out, and are awake to this great evil and others are also waking, critical mass will soon arrive.

This is what is bugging us about the Senator, how is it he does not know this? How is it that he is deceived when the truth is right in front of him and still does not believe? This is a man with all the inside information, the senior member of the intelligent and finance committees, how can he not know? This is what all the conservatives question, the answer must be, he is in on it, and that being the truth the Tea Parties are fervently working to remove him from office. I am not a Tea Party member but have some sympathy towards their cause, howbeit I would say not to jump too quickly. It is quite possible the Senator has been deceived, whom else would the mass manipulators focus their attention on distracting and hindering rather than this VIP. This is why I say let us try to get him the information.   I personally gave him a copy of “The Secrets of OZ” Here by Bob Still, it’s the short version of the “Money Masters” Here which if anyone watches will have the lights go on. If the Senator would get connected with Ron Paul and his son Rand there could be some resounding results, but we must get the Senator to awaken, and not throw the baby out with the wash water.

Now, on the matter that really got things stirred up Friday night; Dennis Pace broached the issue of “False Flag Terror” and specifically 9/11 being an inside job. Senator Hatch did not seem angry, but was surprised at the question and simply said he did not believe it was an inside job. This is where I could not restrain myself and questioned him about WTC7, and how it fell in its footprints and no airplane had hit that building, and that 911 commissioners called the investigation essentially a farce. Here  Also I brought up Steve Jones a PhD Professor (retired) from BYU that had discovered Nano Thermite Here  in the dust of the buildings, which implicates explosives were used to bring the buildings down. I guess this exchange was all recorded by the radio station, KPCW, and was aired the next morning. I might note that Geraldo Rivera ran a favorable show this Saturday on Fox News on 9/11 leaving many questions unanswered by the official story.; HERE, and introduced a web site call “Building What ?” [Here] I quoted only Main Stream media sources and we had a lively dialog going until some people got nervous and wanted to not talk about it anymore. Senator Hatch, the gentlemen he is, did not leave me comfortless and said it was a subject of interest. Later after the event was over, I talked to the Senator some more, he said I did a good job and commended me. I think that if the Senator looked into the Federal Reserve and the 911 cover up he may be the inside man whom we are looking for.

In conclusion our government is not the enemy, rather a group of “Banksters” have instituted a Coup d’état, wherein they seek to destroy our solvency and sovereignty. If we can wake up our Senators to these facts we may well be able to turn this around. So I am offering that Senator Orrin Hatch is not our enemy rather we should not give up on him just yet, but inundate him with the facts especially about the Federal Reserve and see if he will turn around, then we will know if he is for us or not, and the rest of you need to question the official 9/11 story.  We aren’t getting the entire story. Here

Now with all of this having a high possibility of becoming mute points, being prepared is what our immediate focus should be, community involvement, knowing your sheriff and him knowing you,  having a garden, some food storage (most churches have programs for this), be able to defend yourself (the sheriff may not be able to be Johnny on the spot). Inflation is coming, bread may be as high as $25 a loaf soon; there are ways to fight inflation by buying now what you will need later (check expiration), your Federal Reserve notes (fiat currency) are losing value and probably will wipe out your savings and pensions, and taxes could cost you your assets, you need to adjust monetarily.  The house of cards is coming down by design.

Winning the Battle or Winning the War?

by Jacqueline Smith

Right now the war in the battlefield of ideas is raging, and yet many within the tea party groups, the 9.12 movement, and other conservative arenas are not feeling like they are winning the battle.  But are they winning the war?

The media and the government have done a great job of simply ignoring or discounting the groups and their efforts across this great nation.  Examples include how Time Magazine put not one picture of the march on Washington DC on September 12, 2009 in their “Year in Pictures.”  This is not by accident.  I was there on 9.12 and I saw the hundreds of thousands that by estimates of the crowd counters there said numbered at 1.6 million.  However, in their minds, if you are simply ignored, you will go away.

It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds. -- Samuel Adams

Missouri votes to not allow the health care mandate (Obamacare) to stand in their state by an overwhelming 70+ %.The media does not report it.  Does that seem like an oversight to you?  It is not.  It’s very deliberate.

A judge ignores the voters in California by overturning Prop. 8.  Even though the people of the state have voted twice and won to keep marriage between a man a woman.

You may not feel like you are winning any battles, because the media and government continually ignore you, but you will win the war of ideas.  Truth is the key.  When you cling to the truth, you plant yourself firmly on the side of winning in the end.  Do not give up hope.  Do not stop believing in the decency of humankind.  Do not allow the media or the government to cause you to doubt the difference you have made.

Stick together in your neighborhood groups.  If you don’t have one, create one.  There are like-minded people all around you.  Continue to educate yourselves in the classics of great literature, and great thinkers.  We are busy people.  We do not believe that government can fix our problems, and we want to focus on our families, our businesses, and our lives.  But make no mistake, if we do not stay focused in this critical time of alignment, our families that matter so much to us, will no longer be free.

We are in a Fourth Turning, and while there are many places to focus, do not let yourself be weary.  You do not have to do everything, but if everyone does something, we will accomplish our goals of small government, less interference into our lives, less taxes and government waste, better quality of life with our families, and true charity among humanity by individuals and not governments.  The ills of the world are defeated one family, one community at a time, not by an overreaching federal government mandating social justice.  Dig deep, and find your own personal mission, and then live it.

FREEDOM CAN WIN!

ReValue America is in Utah

Dr. Shanon Brooks is giving us the chance to attend ReValue America right here in Utah.  His free class was a few weeks ago, and then the real study begins.   Our first class can be attended on Friday, July 30 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.  For more details, contact us here.  Don’t wait.  This is an excellent opportunity to be mentored in the classics.

Here is a quick video explaining what you can expect.  For more information visit our meetup site and join at http://www.meetup.com/theSTARforum

Once you have attended the free class it is time to get busy and start the real work of changing our country.  This 18 month course, called The Foundations of Liberty, will take you step by step through classics, we have discussions, and even simulations.  This is the best way for a busy adult to get in the kind of education that will make a difference in our country.

We begin by study.  The first books we look at are The 5,000 Year Leap

The 28 Principles of Liberty

and A Thomas Jefferson EducationNext we dive head first into The Roots of American Order.  We can only put 50 people in these classes, so please sign up now.  You will be expected to read and participate in class, but this will be one of the best educational settings you’ve ever encountered.

Many people familiar with The STAR Forum know that I am a huge fan of the Cycles of History.  Here is a quick look at the Tytler Cycle in a video.

Lunch with Orrin Hatch and the Glenn Beck Interview

Two weeks ago a group of 9.12 organizers, tea party organizers, and various campaign volunteers, most of which are also State and County delegates for the Republican Party met with Senator Orrin Hatch over lunch.  (The opinions expressed in this article are mine, and are not necessarily the opinions of the other people invited to the luncheon.)

They included:

  • Larry Jensen, a Salt Lake County 9.12 Organizer part of Utah Rising, and State Delegate
  • Brandon Beckham, from Slate It Up Films
  • Susan Benson, State Delegate
  • Rebekah Whyte, activist, and homeschool mom
  • Donald Cutshaw, State Delegate from http://patrioticutahns.com
  • Steve Jones, a state delegate, member of Utah Rising and iCaucus, as well as volunteer trainer for Morgan Philpot’s campaign
  • Susan Southwick, State Delegate and Tea Party Organizer part of Utah Rising in Salt Lake County
  • Jacquie Nelson, State Delegate
  • Margaret Wilkin, County Delegate, and 9.12 member
  • Marc Pelissie
  • Myranda Holgerson, Leg. Chair, Precinct Chair, UHEA Legislative Liason, homeschool mom.
  • Jacqueline Smith, State Delegate and Founder of The STAR Forum, the Summit County 9.12 group, part of Utah Rising, and homeschool mom

There were others there as well, and I apologize if you were not included in the list.

This lunch was organized by Hatch as a way to reach out to the 9.12 groups and tea party movement.  After the unseating of Senator Bennett, I think that Hatch is smart to reach out.  He bought us lunch, and that was very nice.  He didn’t have a chance to eat much because we were pretty excited about hearing his answers and had a lot of questions.

We had three main questions.  Larry Jensen presented the first question regarding our caucus system.  We asked him,

Each of us here today spent hours, days and weeks of study and civic involvement to become elected representatives of our neighborhoods in Utah’s Republican caucus/convention system.  We are here again today representing our neighbors who elected us.  Senator Hatch, do you favor this traditional form of representative system of choosing candidates for the Republican party or do you favor a direct primary?”

Hatch responded that it has served him well so far, and the reason we have it is so that a relative unknown without a lot of money can actually win the seat for the party.  He said that is the system we have and that he is willing to live with it.

The next question was asked by me,

“I applaud your thoughtful and well-reasoned opposition opinion to general Elena Kagan’s nomination for the Supreme Court.  It represents the near unanimous conclusion of everyone I have discussed this with during the last two weeks. Beyond the reasons you cited, there is significant evidence that Ms. Kagan has a history of association with people tied to three interrelated organizations, the Communist Party USA, Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee/Democratic Socialists of America and the far left Washington DC “think tank” Institute for Policy Studies.  We cannot allow a person with her documented background of associations to serve on the court.  What actions do you plan to take to prevent Kagan’s confirmation?”

Hatch feels that a filibuster is unconstitutional and shouldn’t be used.  He has come out publicly with his reasons for opposing Kagan.  He doesn’t want filibuster used by Republicans or Democrats.

This answer troubled me, because even though I know he is a seasoned politician and well entrenched in the ways of Washington, I believe he is mistaken about the gravity of the current situation we face.  We are facing a near coup d’état of the Democrat Party by the Communists and Socialists in this country.  Has he been there so long and the transition been so slow, that he is unaware of the changes?  Not that he needs to be disagreeable or combative, but is Hatch really willing to call it as it is, instead of hiding behind friendships of the highest aristocracy created in our American system?

While I don’t think filibuster is necessarily the answer, what else can be done?  Can he get his face and voice out on the radio waves and television enough to send a strong message to the conservatives in other states so they are contacting their liberal Senators and swaying the vote?  Is he willing to bring enough attention to the matter?  Would he sacrifice his position and make some serious enemies to help our country block poor nominees, and put in Supreme Court Justices that will uphold the highest and first law of the U.S., the Constitution?

The third question was asked by Marc Pelissie about auditing the Fed.

“What has to happen for you to champion a comprehensive audit of the Federal Reserve?”  and as a follow-up “What can we do to ensure that happens?” or “What can we do to support you in making the audit happen?”

This answer came as a surprise, and a disappointment.  Hatch told us the Federal Reserve does get audited.  I realize it has some type of audit to be in business, because it is a private business remember, but it has not been audited in a way that gives the American people a good look at who is pulling the strings of this country.  Hatch also responded by saying in his 34 years in the Senate they have never had a fiscal majority.  I was 11 years old when Hatch went into office.  Through the Reagan years, through the majority in the Senate when Clinton was in office we’ve never had a fiscal majority?  Since Hatch has been in office the Republicans have held the Senate Majority over the 97, 98, 99, 104, 105, 106, 108, and 109th sessions of Congress.  He told us to get fiscal conservatives into the Senate with him.  He spoke of his seniority there on different committees and how we need to send “him” back to Washington.

So… is Hatch a fiscal conservative?  Well, he voted for Bush’s tarp, and I haven’t forgotten that.  Is it fiscally conservative to side with a President that says he is “abandoning free-market principles in order to save the free-market?”  The day AIG received it’s bailout, I told my husband we may have just witnessed “Black Wednesday,” instead of Black Tuesday, for our generation.

He also made a really big deal out of the BCS when the health care debate should have been the sole priority.

Hatch asked us to make sure in November we elected more fiscal conservatives to the Senate.  I have a strong feeling that November will bring a great number of new conservatives in every respect to the Senate.  As sung by Krista Branch in her video “I Am America:”

“You stuff your pockets while Rome is burning,

I’ve got a feeling that the tide is turning.”

This could go two ways for Hatch that are completely positive.  One, he has two years to prove he’s really fighting for the very threads that bind our country together.  He will need to lead out in ways he never has in the past.  We will be watching him, and we will back him, if he puts himself out there and puts his own personal “career” aside, and has instead public virtue.  Two, he steps down without a fight in two years, and gets behind a freshman and mentors him, as our founders did not want career politicians.  The aristocracy of the Republicans and Democrats must come to an end.  A great book to read on aristocracy is “The Coming Aristocracy” by Oliver DeMille.

Some of the things we heard him say were also heard on the Glenn Beck program last Thursday.  Here are the clips for you to hear.  Much of the same speech was given to us at the luncheon.

Hatch invited three of my 9.12 friends to the fundraising event on Friday before Glenn Beck’s Salt Lake City show to have dinner with Glenn.  At $2,500 a plate, that is quite a gift.  Becky Pirente, Darcy VanOrden, and Brian Halladay all attended this very exclusive event.  All three are 9.12 organizers or activists in the more populated areas of Utah.  It was generous, and for a good cause.  Again, he is reaching out hard to the people who are currently now the Republican Party of Utah with the most say.

It’s the delegates that will be in charge, and Hatch will work much harder than Bennett to ensure he has his delegates in place in 2012.  Based on the cycles of history we will probably be in even more serious political upheaval by then, but time will tell.  In the end the people will decide, and Hatch’s seniority isn’t going to be the thing on which their decision hangs.  Those tactics will not work in this political environment.

Jason Chaffetz is a great example of what attention a freshman can create, and the waves that can be made when you stand for what you believe.  Is he getting anything done?  We don’t care, because we would actually like to see a Washington where nothing gets done and we, the people, are left alone.  Chaffetz is a watchdog, and workhorse for our rights, and he’s not afraid of digging up the dirt.

Jason received a great amount of applause at the Glenn Beck American Revival in Salt Lake City compared to Hatch.  Hatch should read the writing on the wall, and do the right thing, instead of the thing that keeps him in power.  Chaffetz is well-known, and well-liked by the liberty-loving crowd in Utah.  Rumor is that in 2012, Chaffetz may well be the one to challenge the, by then, 36-year incumbent.  Until then, we can only hope that Hatch pushes hard for the truth, the law, and the correct principles that Save The American Republic.

A Bit of a New Direction

A BIT OF A NEW DIRECTION

Those who know me know that I have recently undergone a dramatic change in my life.  I had the blessing of awakening to an understanding of the principles of liberty and the awful situation that we are in due to our choices and how they place our liberties in jeopardy.  It amazes me how blindly I walked through life until recently.  Thankfully, I recognized my opportunity to change.  It was an opportunity to replace an incorrect worldview based on emotion and tradition with a sound foundation based on truth and principles.
