and state in our constitution. and while we are getting rid of things the ACLU would be a good start. enjoyed the tea party of around two million so i have read. Keep up the

  2. The present crisis in the U.S. is a created one by the very politicians who say they have the solution. Resisting the creation of a government run health care system is the best thing you can do. The best thing you can do is force YOUR representatives to enact tort reform and to stop the states from placing oerous restrictions and requirements on the insurance companies. Why is it that in the criminal justice system the defendant has a choice of trial by judge or jury but not in the civil justice system. It seems that a civil trial by a judge would more likely to have a case judged on the merits of the evidence and not the emotions of a jury that in most cases is not informed enough to consider all the facts.
Congratulations to all who participated in the tea parties and a special one to all who took the time to go to Washington on Sept 12th you are true patriots. Keep up the good fight your country is worth it.
Here in Canada we have single payer and it has it’s problems. I personally have been trying to find a family doctor for 4 years since my doctor retired no luck yet I have to go to walk in clinics if i have a problem and they are so busy they don’t have the time to deal with getting to know your total situation so other than dealing with an acute problem not much else is done.

    • The Founding Fathers originally wrote in the Declration of Independence “life, liberty, and property” and that was changed to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” They had enough forsight to recognize that at the time of the writing slaves were considered property, and they felt that eventually in our country this would be rectified. The slaves came to America before it was a country, and it was only a continent. Once our country was formed and our minds grew to a better understanding of our fellowmen, our countrymen shed their blood to wash this sin from our country. While we were not done, others followed and stood as statesman in our great country to bring this even further. Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King Jr., Ghandi, and others have done much to continue freeing us from bad policy, and bad behavior. Our Founding Fathers were inspired, and wanted liberty for all. But they could not affect change until the government was formed. Our Declaration also declares all men are created equal. This includes all of mankind. But society itself required evolution to a more proper way of thinking. I would like to refer you to another post: Jerome Hudson: The Life of a Young Black Conservative. Also, remember this wasn’t an American problem, but a problem throughout the world. And it continues, sadly even today in other parts of the world.

  4. It was very encouraging to read and see the pictures of you celebrating America as it was founded. Thank you for being people who are willing to take a stand for proper values. I want my freedoms back. I am 80, live in a very small town and really know what we are facing if the politicians get their way. I have known freedoms some of you have never had. So I know what I and my family would be loosing. Our politicians do not care for us. Evil has penetrated their hearts and they are out to do their own thing regardles of what the american people want. Political Correctness was a measure they used to keep people from stating the truth- I pray that truth will win. Keep up the good work and I am looking forward to seeing more pictures and comments. God Bless.

    • Rita — It is your generation that we need to be listening to. Thank you for your kind words. I have great hope for our country, because I believe in the heart of the American people. We have stood idly by for years and watched our freedoms erode, but now we can take it no longer, and we are ready to send our message. Talk to your children and grandchildren, be a voice for the Constitution.

  5. Thanks for opening my eyes to all of this, particularly for reintroducing me to my unalienable rights under natural law.
I have seen abuses by government power far too many times at every level to trust in anyone but my Maker, myself, my family, and those who understand and cherish what the Constitution of the United States set out to protect FOR ALL MANKIND. Keep fighting the good fight. Peace, Liberty and love to you and yours!

  6. It’s heartwarming to see the pictures of you all in your colonial garb. My husband and I recently returned from a trip to Philadelphia and an historic tour of where Liberty all got started. Maybe our leaders need a refresher tour themselves to get their mindset back where they should be. The National Constitution Center has a wonderful program there called “Freedom Rising.” It’s a multimedia presentation that’s really worth seeing. I’ve seen it 6 times and every time I’m moved to tears. Of course, don’t miss seeing the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, too. The parks service people that work there are very knowledgeable and willing to talk and answer questions.

Continue to stand for Liberty and Freedom in Utah, as my friends and I intend to in Pennsylvania!

  7. We need to vote them all out, and stop falling for their charismatic speeches. A politician isn’t going to tell you that he’s lying to you.
Start by voting out the corrupt local politicians which are the foundation that enables the whole system up the ladder(county, state, national levels) to thrive.
Maybe that will send a message to start listening to the people who elected them or they’ll be the next ones out.

  8. I AM FINISHING UP COMMON SENSE BUT AM COMING AWAY KIND OF DEPRESSED, I AM A STATE WORKER IN A NEIGHBORING STATE AND I WONDER WHAT THE SOLUTION TO THE IMMEDIATE CRISIES WE ARE FACED WITH. THE BOOK’S PREMISE IS TO ELECT HONEST PEOPLE TO REPRESENT US BUT ELECTIONS ARE 3 AND 4 YEARS AWAY AND THE HEALTH CARE REFORM IS BUT WEEKS AWAY. I AM AN OLDER ADULT WHO HAS WORKED FOR WHAT I HAVE, DECISIONS IN MY YOUTH MADE ME REALIZE THAT NOW I WILL WORK UNTIL I GO TO MY REWARD, BUT THATS OK I DID THE DEEDS THAT PUT ME IN THIS CONDITION AND I AM NOT ASKING FOR A BAILOUT BUTI’D LIKE TO KNOW THAT WHAT I’M WORKING FOR NOW WILL BE SAFE.WILL I BE ABLE TO PAY MY BILLS AND KEEP MY PLACE AND HAVE MY NEEDS MET SO LONG AS I CAN WORK OR WILL THE PRESENTREGIME DEEM ME UNFIT BECAUSE OF AGE TO CONTINUEWORKING AND PROVIDING FOR MYSELF.

    • Linda —
You are like many others recognizing the scary reality that is before us. But their is also a glorious reality as well. Continue to work hard, be honest, and choose good leaders. Become a state delegate in your county, and get other like minded individuals to do the same. If you feel like you have a leader in your area, get them to start a chapter of The S.T.A.R. Forum. It only takes 10 people, and it grows quickly. We may face some very difficult challenges ahead, but I heard a great saying the other day, “I would rather die free, then live kneeling.” We are a freedom loving people, and we will not allow our government to take our freedoms without exhausting every peaceful method possible. Do not give up hope. FREEDOM CAN WIN!

    • Eric — Thank you for your kind words. I am often inspired by the people of Texas and how they always hold their own. We’re just average Americans who cannot stand idly by anymore. We have been forced to take time off of work, spend much of our hard earned money, not because we wanted to, but because we believed we must. There are so many all across this great national participating in a similar way. If there is no one available locally, you can start a chapter of The S.T.A.R. Forum yourself.

GOD BLESS YOU ALSO. This is a wonderful country, and we are not willing to lose it.
