Phillip Leonard is married and is a retired resident of Summit County. After nine years of service in the U.S. Army, including a tour in Vietnam, he worked in civilian life first as a medical researcher and then as a stock broker. He also served 20 years in the Utah Army National Guard. He is co-author of four books, three monographs, and more than 25 articles on petroglyphs in America.
